It has been an honor to serve the people of our great State of Florida and the hard?working staff of the South Florida Water Management District for the past 9 months. lam proud of my service as a Board member and that of the progress the district has made on Everglades restoration during my tenure, projects including: EAA Reservoir Plan a Project in Broward County to enhance flood control and flood protection 0 Approved construction of the 5333 North Structure with the goal of moving more water south 0 Completion of the STA 1-West expansion for achieving water quality standards in the Everglades 0 Continued work on the C43 0 Continued success of the Python Removal Program 0 Water movement on Florida Bay It is my hope that the new administration, along with the team at will continue to drive initiatives such as Everglades restoration, water supply, water quality improvement and flood protection. Many challenges continue with these endeavors but I am confident your office, along with the talented individuals at the District, will continue to make significant progress on these critically important initiatives.
