We wanted to write to you directly, having seen the article on the EFF website and your letter sent to Stobbs IP regarding
the cease and desist letter you received.
 
Clearly the C&D letter should never have been sent. We are taking the matter very seriously and are investigating how
this happened.
 
Of course, ASOS would like to assure you that we will not be taking any further action and will ensure appropriate
correspondence is sent as soon as possible to confirm this.
 
Please do accept our sincere apologies. ASOS strongly advocates freedom of expression and it would never be our
intention to stifle it.
