January 25, 2019 Dr. James Wilcox, Superintendent Longview ISD 1301 East Young Street Longview, Tx 79761 Re: Request for Texas Partnership Benefits Dear Superintendent Wilcox, This letter is to inform you that Longview ISD’s submission for Texas Partnership benefits with East Texas Advanced Academies has been denied. The requested number of campuses and projected student enrollment exceeds the limitations outlined in TEC 12.0522(b). The application must be modified to comply with the limitations in TEC 12.0522(b) or a waiver must be requested in order to exceed the limitation on the percentage of students served. This waiver must receive approval in order to be eligible for benefits under TEC 11.174 and 42.2511. If the district receives approval for a waiver related to TEC 12.0522(b), the district may submit a Texas Partnerships benefits application in a future cycle.
