TAMPA PD GENERAL OFFENSE HARDCOPY COPY FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC GO# 2017-518867 ARREST-DETECTIVE 110A-2 SEXUAL BATTERY-FORCIBLE RAPE I spoke with the Hillsborough Medical Examiners Office Dr. Julia Pearson, who advised that her toxicology tests were more thorough than FDLE's, as the spectrum for foreign substances in the blood stream was broader. I delivered the victims blood and urine samples to Dr. Pearson on or about 11/15/17, who took custody of said items. Dr. Pearson advised that she would contact me when test results were completed. I later received information from Dr Pearson regarding marijuana that was found in the victims blood sample, however, she needed to know if FDLE was able to identify any other substances that were found in the defendants apartment. I informed Dr Pearson of items found in the defendants apartment (see property), to which Dr Pearson advised that she would send off the blood sample to have those items screened in the blood. I was advised by Dr Pearson that due to the victim failing to go to the Nurse Examiners office/hospital until approximately 24+ hours after the offense, it would be difficult to identify any foreign substances in the victims blood/urine. I later received documentation from FDLE advising that none of the items submitted for testing to FDLE were identified as controlled substances per FSS. For: 34794 Printed On: May-15-2018 (Tue.)
