Gott 2017-5182167 ARREST-DETECTIVE liars-2 SEXUAL RAPE

 

At approximately 0400 hrs. operational personnel proceeded to 112 12th Street N. Tampa. FL (Skyhousc
Channetsrde Apanments). Once there. A/Sgt Hughes and I met with the front desk concierge. who confirmed
that Robert Woods resided in Unit #1810. however. he did not have knowledge if Woods was present in the
apartment. I informed the concierge that we were effecting a search wananl amd needed to gain access to the
residence. We were provided with a key to 112 12th Street N. Tampa. FL.

Units proceeded to Unit -and alter knocking and announcing "Tampa Police Department. search warrant.
open the door" (twice), there was no answer at the door. The room key was utilized and entry was made. at which
time I once again announced. "Tampa Police search warrant. come out with your hands up". 1 got no response
and proceeded to advance through the apartment till I reached a closed door mm. 1 presumed to he the bedroom in
the apartment.

I grabbed the door handle and began to open the door when I observed Woods behind the door attempting to
close the door. The bedroom was dark. however,1 could see a second person on the bed with a blanket around
them. I then pushed the door open and was able to order Woods out or his bedroom. Assisting personnel took
custody of Woods while I made contact with the second subject in the room. who was Woods who was

identified as--

Once the apartment was cleared and Woods and-were seated in the living room area. 1 read the search
warrant aloud. I then provided a copy of the search warrant to Woods and placed it on the kitchen counter.

Woods began asking questions regarding why TPD was there and what was going on. I advised Woods that
before I discussed any or the {acts I would need to read him Miranda Rights. I then read Woods his Miranda
rights usrng SAO 07 card. I asked Woods If he remembered the girl he met on Tinder on or about October 4.
2017. woods looked at--and then looked back at me and shook his head yes. Woods, clearly
embarrassed. asked if he could speak with me outside of the apartment, to which I agreed. I instructed units to
escort Woods to the foyer outside of his apanment so that I could speak with him.

It should he noted that no search was conducted yet so that TPD Crime Scene could take photographs of the
apartment.

I met with Woods and he stated that he was scared. I informed Woods that I needed to get his side of the story
and woods reply was that he felt he should "probably" have a lawyer. I informed woods that I would be ceasing
my interview at that time.

I then proceeded into the apartment and met with asked if she was a Woods had

met a female on Tinder on the night of 10/4/17 and brought her back to the apartment. advised she
was at work that night. as she is a nurse at Tampa General Hospiml.hconfirmcd that Woods worked in
the emergency room at St. Josephs Hospital as a pharmacrst.

-was clearly upset about Woods actions. but was unable to provide any information regarding this

investigation.
