110A-2 SEXUAL BATTERY-FORCIBLE RAPE

I assisted in the search of the apartment after conducting my interview of Woods.
I assisted in the bedroom of the apartment and discovered numerous unidentified pills and tablets, as well as three
(3) pre-loaded hypodermic syringes. Two of the syringes were marked "Epinephrin" and the third was marked
"Perinephrine". All of the syringes were found in the bedroom closet, where it appeared only mens clothing were
present, as well as photos of woods and personal property of Woods.
It should be noted that several of the substances recovered at Woods residence could not be identified and will be
sent to FDLE for testing.
Additionally, I located a AR-15 style rifle (
and a
9mm pistol Ser
5) in the master bedroom closet. The above listed firearms were placed
into evidence by me at the TPD Impound Lot.
Also during the search I located one (1) used condom in the bathroom garbage as well as the wrapper (Trojan
Magnum).
Other items were located ruing the search (see property form).
I then proceeded to complete the CRA for Woods fro the charge of Sexual Battery.
Woods was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking by Patrol.
A search warrant return was later completed and provided to the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Court.
On or about 10/13/17, I received a FDLE lab report indicating that a second sample, of at least one (1) male
contributor, was discovered from the Vaginal and External Genital Swabs recovered from the victim during the
sexual assault examination. FDLE advised in the lab report that the DNA evidence recovered would be placed
into CODIS for comparison.
I contacted Chief ASA M. Dougherty and discussed obtaining a search warrant to obtain a comparison DNA
sample from the defendant. ASA Dougherty advised that she would not approve the search warrant at this time.
