The Rental Inspection Program’s registration purpose is to obtain the property owner’s name and contact information for all residential rental units in Cleveland. Building & Housing will use this information to contact the owner during an emergency or to schedule a periodic rental inspection. The contractor may tell you that the work doesn’t require a permit and that it will be cheaper without the permit.
