Dear Governor Dunleavy:
With this letter I am tendering my resignation effective upon the appointment of a new Public
Defender nominated by the Alaska Judicial Council under A.S. 18.85.030.
It has been an honor to serve the people of the State of Alaska for the last twenty years as an
Assistant Public Defender and later as the Public Defender. I look forward to continuing to work
with the Administration until a new Public Defender is appointed.
