Wight Noize is a Platform One College of Music initiative aimed at supporting young bands
and solo artists resident on the Island. The Wight Noize Showcase is a professional industry
showcase (not a 'Battle of the Bands') and allows performers to receive constructive feedback
from an experienced panel of selected music industry professionals.
One band / artist will be selected to perform on the main stage on Sunday 16 June at the Isle of Wight Festival.
The selected band / artist will also have the opportunity to record a single for free at Studio 5a.
The selected band / artist will receive a headline slot at Strings Music Venue in order to release their new single.

All acts must submit a registration form electronically to register@platformone.org by Friday 26 April 2019
by 5.00pm. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Selected acts must be willing and available to perform a 30-minute set of original songs at
Strings Music Venue on Saturday 11 May 2019.

All acts must be able to demonstrate that they actively promote themselves online.

Musicians may only register and perform in one act (multiple registrations will be disregarded).

All musicians must be resident on the Isle of Wight (proof of residence may be asked for).

All musicians must be aged between 16 to 24 years (proof of date of birth may be required).

Platform One will supply the PA, back line amplifiers and drum kit for the Wight Noize Showcase.

All band members must be available to perform at the Isle of Wight Festival – no substitutions or
additional band members will be permitted.
