Message : FYI . Senator McConnell's staff asked us to prepare the attached outline and
witness list for an oversight hearing that the Senator would like to hold in the Commerce,
Justice, State and Judiciary Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee .
Senator McConnell plans to ask Subcommittee Chairman Gregg if he (Senator McConnell)
can chair the hearing . That meeting has not happened yet, and there is no date for the
hearing, but Senator McConnell is very serious about making it happen . It is Senator
McConnell's hope that the oversight hearing could provide a platform for future legislative
action to address the subject of "recoupment" litigation .
