Dear Chief Justice Roberts:

Due to heightened interest in 18?966, Department of Commerce, at (11., v. New York, at (.11., we
urge the Supreme Court to make the audio recording of oral arguments immediately available
on the Court?s website on April 23 after the case has been submitted.

Same-day audio utilized most recently in Trump 1). Hawaii and Oberge?zll v. Hodges - has
proven a valuable resource for tens of thousands of Americans interested in listening to the
Justices weigh the merits Of a case in an unfiltered, unbiased and near?contemporaneous way.
Plus, the Court has already acknowledged the considerable interest in this case by posting a
media advisory on March 14 noting limited press seating.

Allowing prompt public access to a primary source like argument audio affords more
Americans the ability to engage with its government, and though we acknowledge that oral
arguments represent but a small portion of a case, a same-day audio release can effectively
demonstrate to the public the Court's diligence and collegiality when considering issues of
national import.
