This regards your California Public Records Act request, submitted February 22, 2019, for copies of
“Title IX investigation reports for 2018, similar to the ones received for 2016 and 2017.”
Appropriate University of California, San Diego offices have been notified of your request and a search
for the information is underway. All information identified as responsive to your request will be
reviewed and made available for your access, in accordance with relevant law and University policy.
While it is difficult to predict without having yet been able to fully gather and review the requested
information, I anticipate that your request may encompass information that is protected from disclosure
pursuant to Gov. Code § 6254(c), 6254(k), 6255, and/or the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
It is also possible that the requested material contains information exemption exempt from disclosure
pursuant to other provisions of the California Public Records Act. However, this is not a determination
that the information is necessarily exempt from disclosure.
The estimated date for production of the requested records is September 12, 2019.
