Huser, Chair Geri D. Huser was appointed to the Iowa Utilities Board on May 1, 2015. for a six-year term ending on April 30, 2021. Governor Terry Branstad also appointed Geri as Chair, where she serves as the administrative head of the Board. She previously was Director of Iowa Title Guaranty, Iowa's real estate insurance provider. As an attorney. Geri practices in real estate. business. municipal law and estate planning. She is also a small business owner in lowa. She served in the Iowa Legislature and on the Attoona City Council for a combined total of 20 years. Nick Wagner, Board Member Nick Wagner of?cially began serving as a member of the Iowa Utilities Board on May 24, 2013, appointed by Governor Branstad to ?ll a term ending on April 30, 2019. Board member Wagner is a member of Board of Directors of the National Association of Regulatory I 1- Utility Commissioners (NARUC). Wagner also serves on the NARUC Committee on Gas. is co-chair of the Washington Action Program, and is co-vice chair of the Committee on Critical Infrastructure. Wagner also serves as vice president of the Mid-America Regulatory Conference (MARC) and treasurer of the National Council on Electric Policy (NCEP). Prior to joining the Board, Wagner was the Director of Quality Management for the E800 Group in Marion. Iowa. His professional and management duties at ESCO Group included project execution in industrial automation including standby and emergency diesel generator control. facility energy and ef?ciency audits. and building control. Wagner served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2008 to 2012 as ranking member and chair of the Local Government Committee and as vice chair of the Appropriations Committee. Wagner also sat on the Administration and Regulation Budget Sub-Committee. Commerce. Transportation, and Ways and Means Committees. Wagner previously served four years as an at-Iarge elected member of the Marion City Council. Wagner received his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering in 1996 and a Master?s of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1998. both from the University of Iowa. He and his wife. Mandie. reside in Marion and have a daughter and son. Richard W. Lozier. Jr.. Board Member Richard Lozier was appointed to the Iowa Utilities Board and began his service on May 1. 2017. for a term that runs through April 30. 2023. Prior to joining the Board. he was a member of the Belin McCormick law ?rm in Des Moines for more than 20 years. During much of that time. a major component of his practice involved regulated utilities. including telecommunications. wind energy development. electric transmission. water. and gas and oil pipelines. While in private practice he was president of the Polk County Bar Association and served on the Board of Governors of the Iowa State Bar Association. He was also president of the Rotary Club of Des Moines and the Des Moines YMCA Camp Board of Managers. as well as serving on the Metro YMCA Board of Directors. He attended Des Moines public schools and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American History from the University of Iowa and his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. He also attended a summer law program at Exeter University in Exeter. England. After graduating from law school. he was a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Albuquerque. NM. and Los Angeles, Calif.. before returning to Des Moines to practice law. He practiced with the Grant. Lozier Sarcone ?rm in Des Moines before joining the Belin McCormick firm. He resides in Des Moines with his wife. Kaye. They have ?ve adult children and ten grandchildren.
