P. BOX 6641 METAIRIE, LA. 70009 April, 2019 This past year the Krewe of Caesar celebrated its 40"ll Anniversary. Over the past 40 years many wonderful memories and many great accomplishments have been made and some ?rst in Mardi Gras. Caesar?s Court was the only krewe to ever parade in Disney World and bring Mickey Mouse and friends to the streets of Metairie. Also the court and some krewe memebers paraded with Al Hirt in Virginia Beach. We were also the ?rst to have lighted costumes and have become known as having the best costumes in all of Mardi Gras Court and Krewe. Our krewe costumes were designed for the theme of each ?oat. We have had many fabulous balls where a great time was had by all. Over the years we have seen many changes in Mardi Gras. We witnessed the rise of suburban Mardi Gras and now we are in a period of growth of Mardi Gras in the city. Unfortunately it has become exceedingly dif?cult over the past several years to fund a parade of the high quality that we are known for and are accustomed to. The uncertainty of parade routes and inability to plan has also been dif?cult to attract new members. It is because of these factors as well as others that myself and the board of directors have decided to cease operations. We would like to thank all the members who have supported the krewe, attended functions and worked to make Caesar the best parade in Jefferson Parish. We would not have made 40 years if it had not been for your loyalty and support. We will cherish all of the memories and friendships that have been made over the years and we hope that you will as well. Robert H. Carnesi Captain
