Recently, it has seen an increase in Aggravated Assaults. • Over 7,400 total “West Woodland” CSB requests for service in 2018 and 2019, including over 3,600 abandoned vehicle reports. is 8233532 25.3 525 Fremont Date (xx/xx/xxxx) 10 Department Name • Overall 52% increase in Person and Property crime in 2018 from 2017. • Increase due to 56% jump in property crimes compared to 2017. • Year-to-date, Fremont continues to struggle with Property crime, primarily Larceny-thefts and Car Prowls. • Over 6,600 requests for service to Customer Service Bureau (CSB) in 2018 and 2019, including high number of graffiti reports compared to other neighborhoods in City. Page Number Pioneer Square • Overall 28% increase in crime in 2018 compared to 2017. • In 2018, Person Crime was up 21% from 2017, primarily due to Aggravated Assaults and Sex Offenses. Property Crime was also up 25% from 2017, primarily due to Larceny-theft and Car Prowl in the area. • Pioneer Square has also seen an uptick in Shots Fired with 6 incidents YTD compared to 3 this time last year. • Of CSB 2018-2019 requests, Pioneer Square has one of highest number of streetlight outage reports in City. Increase is primarily due to Commercial Robberies (+43%) and Aggravated Assaults (+26%). • Over 3,300 Downtown-area CSB requests for service in 2018 and 2019. Property Crime increases can be attributed to Car Prowls, Larceny-Theft, and Commercial Burglary. In the last four complete months, Property Crime totals have exceeded the last two years. • Over 5,500 “Industrial District” CSB requests for service in 2018-2019, including high number of pothole reports compared to other neighborhoods. Property Crime has also increased every year since 2015. Largest increases in 2018 due to Motor Vehicle Thefts and Larceny-Thefts. • Although crime is currently down in Georgetown, there have been slight upticks in Aggravated Assaults as well as Suspicious Circumstance calls for service. • Over 2,500 CSB reports of abandoned vehicles and over 1,000 illegal dumping reports in 2018-2019. • According to Seattle University’s 2015-2017 Public Safety Survey, Georgetown was the only neighborhood that had property damage in their Top 5 Safety Concerns for 2017. South Park has also seen an increase in shots fired from 2016-2018. • Overall crime is down in 2019, but there have been slight upticks in Street Robbery and Aggravated Assault. • When reviewing Seattle University’s Public Safety Survey from 2015-2017, South Park identified gun violence and drug houses in their Top 5 Safety Concerns from 2016-2017.
