Dear Jon:

This letter is to notify you of my intentidn to recommend your removal from the position
as Director of the Columbus Civic Center with the advice and consent of the City Council
pursuant to Charter Sections 4-102(3) and 4307(1). A recent investigation has revealed that you
have not faithfully or impartially ful?lled the duties of your of?ce. It is apparent that you have
facilitated and authorized dual employment of a key manager of the Columbus Civic Center
against my explicit instructions. Further, yOu have not been forthright in your communications
to me, as the evidence indicates you have approved the submission of sick leave records that were
known to be inaccurate. Your actions are contrary to the ordinances governing the administration
of CCG leave bene?ts, the policies governing your position and may also have criminal
implications.

If you would prefer to tender your resignation instead of being removed from your
position, I will accept that decision in writing, effective immediately.
