Attached is the first quarter of Roxbury and Lynn Data. In these cases, it doesn’t look like Benzene at either site gets below 0.1 ppbv, even if Toluene is very low . In the ambient air, there should be a ratio where Toluene is much higher than Benzene and Xylenes, which has been observed so far at Fore River. Rhode Island does claim lower MDLs than Alpha. I do have a plan to cross-compare, which I will discuss with you tomorrow. The August 7 samples are ready and our last sampling event will be on August 12 and 13. No apparent sampling issues except the mis-recording of the can number on July 7. I also left you a voicemail regarding some technical questions about the results (mostly from data users). 1. Why is the Benzene RL at 0.1 ppbv, while the other BTEX’S are 0.05 ppbv or below. 2. I was asked why Acrolein is not on the target list. (I do remember that it is difficult to quantify in canisters.) 3. Are the siloxane and related compounds most likely artifacts from cans or analyses? I didn’t see them in the Blank.
