PG&E Team: Having been here just over a month, I’ve had time to review and assess our team and organization and have determined some changes for our path forward together. I want to share the following updates that are effective today. Jesus Soto, currently senior vice president, Gas Operations, and Jon Franke, vice president, Safety & Health, will each be leaving their positions with PG&E. We appreciate their hard work and contributions in many areas during their time at PG&E and wish them well in their future endeavors. On an interim basis, I’ve asked Mel Christopher to lead the overall Gas organization and Jan Nimick to lead our important enterprise Safety & Health team. Please lend them your full support in these new roles. Jan will report to me. As part of our continued work to more fully focus on the fundamentals of safe, excellent operations, I am announcing some additional changes to our senior leadership structure. Utility CEO First, we have started a search for a president and chief executive officer of the utility, rather than a chief operating officer. As I’ve evaluated the organization over the past few weeks and observed the breadth and scope of our work, I’ve concluded that we need a utility leader who has deep and broad industry experience and a well-earned reputation for safety-focused operations. Once we identify the right leader, I envision Electric Operations, Gas Operations, Generation, Safety & Health and Customer Care reporting to the utility CEO. Operations Leaders Also as part of our return to the fundamentals, I have asked our operations leaders—Michael Lewis, Mel Christopher and Jim Welsch—to focus solely on their respective organizations of electric, gas and generation. This means other senior officers will take on additional responsibilities. Michael, Mel and Jim will continue to report to the utility board until we hire a utility CEO. New Responsibilities • Dinyar Mistry will add leadership and oversight of Corporate Real Estate and Supply Chain, in addition to Human Resources. Dinyar will continue to report to me. • Laurie Giammona will add leadership and oversight of Transportation Services, Aviation Services, Corporate Security and Cybersecurity in addition to Customer Care. Kathy Kay and the Information Technology team will continue to report to Laurie. Laurie will report to me until we hire the utility CEO. Law, Strategy and Policy John Simon filled a critical role as interim leader to help the company navigate through the beginning of Chapter 11, the CEO search and changes to the Board of Directors. I want to thank John for his hard work in these areas. He will continue to play an important role at PG&E now and in the future. I’ve asked John to lead several key areas under the umbrella of Law, Strategy and Policy. The teams reporting to John will be Law, Energy Policy & Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, California External Affairs, Federal Affairs, and Marketing & Communications. John will continue to report to me. Janet Loduca will continue permanently in her role as senior vice president and general counsel and report to John along with Fong Wan, Robert Kenney, Keith Stephens and Jessica Hogle. Finance and Compliance Finally, Jason Wells now serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Julie Kane will continue to serve as our chief ethics and compliance officer and deputy general counsel. Both Jason and Julie will continue to report to me. Please join me in supporting these individuals and all of our leaders as we move forward as one organization. Bill
