Request for Proposals Consulting Services Highway Patrol Training Facility Project Page 13 of 19 B. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Saskatchewan Highway Patrol (SHP) facility is currently located at a facility that cannot maintain the required capacity. The existing 1630 & 1660 Park street facilities are unoccupied at this time. The objective of this project is to transform the 1630 & 1660 Park street facilities into the new Highway Patrol Training Facility. This new location will act as a training facility and headquarters for the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol. This will improve support services, improve efficiency and provide higher quality of training. There is a possibility that the 1630 and 1660 Park street facilities will not only accommodate the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol agency, but also other agencies or groups, to be determined, others may be added as clients which will increase the scope of the project at a later time. This information will be added as an addendum if provided prior to the closing date. Proponents are to be aware that the scope of this project may increase to not only accommodate the requirements of the SHP, but other agencies as well. Saskatchewan Highway Patrol Requirements: The total area of staff and support spaces is about 2,500 square meters. Below is a table of some of the space requirements that SHP has requested.
