Date 3, The facts in support ofthe probable cause for the warrantiess arrest of the above named suspect are as follows (Enter Narrative Here) On 05/07/2019, at approximately 1353 hour notified Douglas County Regional Dispatch ofa shooting that had taken ace at a too ocated at 8757 Ridgeline Blvd, in unincorporated Douglas County-is a teacher at the school and stated that shots were tired at the school and was still ongoing. ?l?here were multiple reporting parties (RP) alter the initial call. 1 reviewed Computer Automated Dispatch (CAD) notes and radio and learned the following information: It was reported that the shooter was located in room #107 (inside 81le School) and multiple people were shot. One RP identi?ed one ol?the shooters as Devon Erickson (DOB 09/21/2000). Devon was described as being a white male, with pink hair. and a checkered shirt. Additionally, one ofthc shooters may have been pinned down "in the middle school." A second shooter was identified by Deputy Robert Posavad and Detective Shaun Bell. The second shooter was described as wearing a Nirvana hoodie. haying purple and black hair. being armed with pistols, a revolver, and went by Dispatch advised responding deputies of multiple casualties and described various injuries being reported. Numerous deputies from the Douglas County Sheriffs Of?ce responded to the school. Two shooters were taken into custody; Devon Michael Erickson (DOB 09/21/2000) and . Detective Bell. who was on scene. described as having shorter brown hair, wearing a dark Nirvana hoodic. dark pants, and black and white shoes. 1e was detained in a hallway between rooms 107 and 161 and was armed with a handgun. Detective Bell stated that Devon was in room 107. had purplish colored medium length hair. and was wearing blucjeans. Dev on was not armed at the time he was contacted by police as he was being held down by other students. Detective Bell stated that two handguns and a rille were found in room 107. Information Technology staff member found in the hallway with a handgun. - took the handgun from and went into room 107 where a student handed -another handgun. which was a black Gloc pistol. A ril'le was found in a guitar case in room 107. still had a handgun in her possession. A school security team-member identified a-detaitied- He gave her verbal commands to get down on the ground and she complied. An unnamed student, who had a gunshot wound to his leg, was holding Devon down. There was another student who was unconscious in the threshold of room 107 who appeared to have a gunshot wound to his torso. Detective Bell stated that he and other officers made entry between rooms 104 and 106 at the school and they moved towards room 107. Other officers reported a security guard had fired two rounds at DCSO Lieutenant Laurie Bronner. The security guard stated he saw a muzzle come around the corner. One of the shots fired by the security guard wounded a female in room 106; this female was later identified as Detective Bell placed Devon in handcuffs and handed him offto other deputies. A security guard handcuffed -Jnd she was handed offto other deputies. Detective Scott Bird and 1 took custody of Devon at the STEM school and loaded him into a marked Douglas County patrol vehicle. Devon was transported to the Douglas County Sheriff?s Office, Highlands Ranch sub-station. Devon was interviewed by Detective Bird and in a recorded interview. Devon stated the following under Miranda Advisement: His friend messaged him on ?Snapchat? last night and told him not to go to school tomorrow. Devon left school and went to his home_ with a friend named - Devon needed to let his dog out and denied that his parents were home at that time. Devon returned to school so he could receive attendance credit for a class. He again left school and returned home because he wanted to call the police. Devon got home-messaged him and told Devon to return to the school to pick him up. Devon picked .up and the two returned to Devon's house. While at the house. Devon described -as being off and pissed ot?l?at a bunch ol?pcople. The two hung out in the basement and- used some cocaine while there. Devon denied using cocaine at that time. A short time later. .told Devon to follow him and the two went upstairs. .asked Devon where his parent's safe was-was aware there was a sale containing ?rearms because the two had previously discussed it a few weeks prior. Devon described the sale and stated it was typically opened with a key. but that key was typically in his l'athcr?s possession. After showing -the safe. Devon walked towards the door in an attempt to get away. .told Devon to get away from the door and threatened to kill him il?he didn?t. -pullcd an axe out and started striking the safe with the axe to try and get it open.
