Gentlemen:

I would like to offer to you an idea of mine
because I have no way of experimenting on it. I also
have no use for it.

Why not hide a small anti-personal bomb in the
crown of a hat. This bomb would not be removed from the
hat for use. It probably would be used only in emergencies.
This bomb could be placed under a false bottom similar
to a magician's hat and a cover story made up along
this line.
