Dear Mr. President:

The Eddy County Board of County Commissioners cordially invite you to
visit the great state of New Mexico.

New Mexico is in dire need of your attention and leadership, Mr.
President. New Mexico is currently in a state of emergency due to the
rapidly growing crisis on our southern border. We, the People of New
Mexico find ourselves without solid state and federal leadership. Our
Governor and US. Representatives continue to stand on the premise
that there is no crisis on the border. They prefer to declare a
humanitarian crisis and disregard the massive ?ow of immigrants and
illegal narcotics flowing into our counties and our state. Our Governor
and US. Representatives have chosen to close our Border Patrol
checkpoints in order to utilize them to process asylum seekers. These
checkpoints are a crucial line of defense in interrupting the flow of
immigrants and illegal drugs into the State of New Mexico. Mr.
President, you have always put the health, safety, and well-being of the
American people ?rst. With your strong leadership and guidance we ask
that you would please come to New Mexico and support our locally-
elected county commissioners and our county sheriffs? as we make our
growing border crisis known to our Governor and US. Representatives.
Eddy County will warmly welcome you, Mr. President, as we stand
behind and support your leadership and efforts in securing our border.
