Omcial lniormation Act request: Consultation on sectlon 10 0' the Climate Change Response (Zero
Carbon) Amendment 

Thank you tor your email of 7 June 2019 requesting, under the olticial Information Act 1582 ithe Act),
information relating to consultation on section 10 or the climate Change Response (Zero Carhonl
Amendment Bill. Vou specifically requested "oil odyice and communications on s10 clause of the climate
Change Response (Zera Carbon) Amendment Bill".

The Ministry oflustlce was consulted during development of the climate Change Response (Zero carbon)
Amendment Bill (the Hill). This consultation included vetting for consistency with the New zealand Bill of
Rights Act 1990 and a review of the Regulatory Impact statement by the Office of Treaty Settlements.
However, this consultation did not focus on or specifically reference section 10 of the Bill. Consequently,
your request is refused under sectlun 18(e) of the Act, as the iniormation does not exist or, despite
reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found,
