People from all different disciplines— engineers, attorneys, geologists, scientists, landfill operators, hazardous materials managers, consultants and local government representatives—will converge on the Chattanooga Convention Center for 2.5 days of educational and networking opportunities. The Environmental Show of the South provides high-quality professional development with over 13 hours of technical sessions and close to 8 hours planned for networking with our 160 exhibitors. Attendees choose from seven or more options during the breakout sessions. Coordinated start and stop times for presentations and discussions allow attendees to tailor their conference experience to best fit their interests, while still enjoying plenty of networking time together in the exhibit hall. Engineers should keep their own records, including a marked copy of the agenda, paid receipt, and badge. Attorneys can earn Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits through the Tennessee Bar Association. Select the CLE option during registration. Certified Landfill Operators can earn up to 9 hours of continuing education at no additional charge. Be sure to sign in at your session. SWANA Members can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for relevant topics. Pick up a CEU form at the TN SWANA booth. Certified Hazardous Materials Managers/Practitioners can earn up to 5 Certification Maintenance Points (CMPs) per day. CHHMs and CHMPs should keep their badges and agendas. Professional Geologists in TN do not need continuing education, but those licensed in other states may be able to earn credit. In the Exhibit Hall... The conference showcases a full spectrum of environmental goods and services, with over 160 organizations staffing booths. That’s a lot of hands to shake! Registration: Includes access to all technical sessions, the tradeshow, continental breakfasts, lunches, and refreshment breaks. The standard registration fee is $315. An early bird discount of $30 is available until February 28. A late fee of $60 will be assessed to all registrations received on or after May 1, including on-site registrations. Additional Fees: Attendees can purchase Certificates of Attendance with registration for $10. Certificates may be picked up on site on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. Attorneys wishing to earn Continuing Legal Education credits through the Tennessee Bar Association will incur an additional $150 fee. Government Employees: The $60 late fee is waived.
