Dear Parent and Carers
The governing body of the church schools of Shalfleet and Yarmouth would like to
state the following:
Irrespective of what you may hear, our original position is as declared in our
response to the consultation; we do not support the current proposal. We are
informing ourselves on our current position, obtaining appropriate advice and
guidance.
We understand that the Lead Member has resolved to take the LA Officers'
recommendation to Cabinet on Thursday, 11 July 2019 for decision.
We would like to offer our parents/carers the opportunity to meet with governors
on Wednesday, 10 July 2019 at 6pm at Yarmouth School. We ask you kindly to
please direct your questions to the governors, allowing Mrs Grainger and her staff to
concentrate on the children. Governors can be contacted via Katie Riley, Clerk to

Parents and children who have chosen to come to our schools have always been
welcomed and this will continue to be the case going forward. The senior leaders
and staff in the Federation are focused on giving the children a great end of term as
we look forward to planning for the new academic year. Our mission is to provide
the best possible education for the children which remains our priority at all times.
