The Library has also provided the following information in a communication to Mr. Bromherg and Mrs. Josephson. The Library would be pleased to accept the collection as a gifi, ier. Bromherg and Mrs. Josephson can also raise and donate to the Library $200,000 in private funding necessary to provide programming and maintenance ofthe collection. The Library's interest is in the collection in its entirety. Additionally, while we cannot speak for future administrations, the current Librarian of Congress, Dr. Carla Hayden. is happy to accept the collection during her tenure. The Library orCorigress continues to he grateful for David's girt ofpapers pertaining to his legendary career as a guitar virtuoso and fiddle collector, and we hope to provide a home for this unique and comprehensive collection ofAmerican-made violins, as well.
