Dear Ms. Shannon:

Thank you for your recent letter expressing concerns about the Make Your
Date program. You identify yourself as a former assistant director for the City of
Detroit Of?ce of Grants and Development, and assert that city officials have
attempted to hide information concerning the relationship between the Mayor and
persons associated with the program. You further indicate that you have ?rst hand
knowledge of fraud and mismanagement of federal funds by city of?cials.

You note in your correspondence that you have been in contact with the City
of Detroit Inspector General with these same concerns. I reached out to that office,
and was advised that they do in fact have an open ?le on this matter. Since the
Inspector General is already looking into your assertions, this of?ce will defer to
their actions.

I provided a copy of your letter to the Detroit Inspector General. I suggest
that you follow-up with that of?ce.
