Preparing and briefing the Council to make a possible decision around next steps would be important.   In terms of the stakeholder meeting, the group will continue meeting (they’ve been meeting for a couple of years now) and they really want to see a ballot initiative move forward. They were eager to think about funding mechanisms that would generate a significant amount of funding, and there were conversations about including arts in the expenditure plan. I think those are the highlights.   I told them we would get them a condensed version of the polling results and the feasibility study in the next few weeks, per your desire to have some internal discussions.   Take care,   Mary Creasman California Director of Government Affairs The Trust for Public Land 415-309-4830   From: Wilma Quan-Schecter [mailto:Wilma.Quan-Schecter@fresno.gov] Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2017 6:20 PM To: Mary Creasman Cc: Danielle Bergstrom; Laura Gloria Subject: RE: Follow up Hi Mary, Great meeting you in person too.  Thanks for the follow up email.  As I mentioned this week, we need to engage Mayor Brand and his team and discuss next steps and how he would like to proceed.  We will get back to you in the next couple of weeks once we’ve had a chance to talk with him.   Did anything of interest come out of yesterday’s meeting that you think we need to be aware of…..?   Thanks again, WQS     Wilma Quan-Schecter Assistant City Manager City of Fresno 2600 Fresno Street Fresno, CA 93721 Direct: (559) 621-7768 www.fresno.gov       From: Mary Creasman [mailto:mary.creasman@tpl.org] Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 6:54 PM To: Wilma Quan-Schecter Cc: Danielle Bergstrom Subject: Follow up Hi Wilma   Great finally meeting you in person yesterday! The meeting today went well, I think we were able to really frame the process and where we are. There were folks from Labor, League of Women Voters, Land Trust, Conservancy, Fresno State, Botanical Gardens, Health, Arts and Parks, etc., participating.   One question that came up in my conversation with Danielle today was following up with Councilmembers to update them on where we are with the feasibility process. What do you think the right next steps there are?   Take care,   Mary Creasman California Director of Government Affairs The Trust for Public Land 415-309-4830
