I refer to your letter dated 10 July 2019.

2. I take this opportunity to draw your attention to major policy (as well as legislative) changes
brought by Mauritius during the past years which might have escaped your attention and
hence may explain that the questions raised in your letter may seem to be prompted by the
fact that you may have in your possession information which are by now outdated.

3. There are several reports produced by independent organizations such as, by the World
Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund as well as the OECD and the
which are all unanimous to recognize that Mauritius is a cooperative and
clean jurisdiction that has made significant progress in adhering to international standards
set by the norm setting organizations to improve its framework and overall
business relationships in a more and more internationally regulated eco-system.

4. We understand that the response provided to your queries shall be published in its entirety,
as is and any edits or amendments shall not be made without our consent as it is likely to
distort the true picture. Furthermore, the report should provide a balanced view and we would
expect to have a fairtreatment in terms of content.
