Dear Todd Machado and Board Members, I am writing this letter in hopes to enlighten a board that truly cares about this district As a community member, former parent, and former employee, I feel obligated to share some experiences of my time with the district. I did not write this letter sooner in fear of possible retaliation against my son. It?s sad that I would worry about retaliation but that is the environment that the current superintendent has created. The last two years, I have witnessed so many unprofessional experiences. In the of?ce, Mr. Rosa would yell at the district of?ce staff, which would result in tears. Sometimes, behind closed doors, I could still hear him yelling. Mr. Rosa talked very unprofessionally about employees. Some comments he made would have constituted sexual harassment; ?-om either the person he was speaking about or me as a third party because I was so uncomfortable. I did not leave for a pay raise, in fact, I went ?om a 5 min commute to 45 min commute. I made very hard choices. Choices that affected my familyunhealthy and unprofessional environment. Mr. Rosa routinely talked down about the administration staff and didn?t seem to truly be a team player or want to be part of the McSwain family. He repeatedly said I am the ?head mother fucker in charge?. He seemed to always go against or disagree with administration suggestions. Mrs. Havel has been the driving force of McSwain?s continued success. She has constantly made an effort to reach out to the students and staff of McSwain and has shown that she truly cares about the school and community, unlike the snmerintendent. For generations the families of McSwain school and the McSwain community has prided itself in the ethics and respect McSwain school is built on, you do not have someone leading the school that holds the same ethics and respect this school is built on and loved for. I hope you consider the damage that is being caused not only to our schools reputation but to the students and staff if he stays. Thank you for your the.
