whom are members oi KA at Ole Miss bran
bullet-ridden Emmet Till river memorial n-t suggests they inilicted iurther damage to the sign that was
replaced less than a year ago tor the third time, having vandal ed on several occasions. The date oi the
photograph isn't clear, but it appears to have been taken sometime between August 2013 and now.

The photo was on an account owned by aen Lectere (leit), was wishing iellow KA brother John Lowe (right)
happy birthday, calling him "one oi Memphis's 'nest and the worst iniluence I've ever met." The third man
(middle) was not tagged in the post and we would also assume there was a potential lounh person who
presumably tookthe photo. (picture and screenshot attached) The sign is located down a rural road in
Glendora, Ms, about 15 miles away irom campus. They clearly went out oi their way to intentionally deiace
this memor that exists as a reminder oi this country's long history oi raci oppression, spec lly the
brutal oi Till and that oi thousands oi others.

       

 

We ielt the need to let Ole Miss know becausethis is on a erent level irom other publicized cidents oi
racist conduct by iraternity members; deiacing a public rights memorial ior Till with rriles is a
permanent act that would suggest they are content with the system oi tear and intimidation eniorced by
whites ior decades.
