[wanted to inform you that I went to Court Nov. 8. 2007 - was offered a plea agreement whereby i would plead
guilty to Operating a Vehicle while intoxicated (a misdemeanor) which would allow me to get my license back on
or before Dec. 10, 2007. On the advise of my lawyer, i am accepting the agreement. Within this agreement i will
be attending Court Ordered alcohol abuse classes. This was the best way to bring this matter to its conclusion
and focus my attention where it belongs- with the Fire Department. Again, apologize for putting myself and the
Fire Department in this situation. Nothing like this will ever happen again.

Sir:

This is to inform you that I am suspending you for 24 duty hours without pay effective
immediately for violation of the following Rules and Regulations:

1. GENERAL ORDER 1.12: CONDUCT UNBECOMING A FIREFIGHTER

Section ll-S. Engaging in any behavior that brings the department into
disrepute, degrades the community image of the Department
or impedes the ability of any firefighter to perform his or her
duties as a firefighter.

I am suspending you for 24 duty hours without pay and extending your
probationary time by no less than six (6) months due to your arrest on November 2,
2007.

This suspension begins at 0800 hours, Tuesday, November 13, 2007. You will

return to duty at 0800 hours, Friday, November 16, 2007. Your probationary time
has been extended to February 18, 2009.

without pay for violation of the following IFD Rules and Regulations:

1. General Order 1.11: Conduct Unbecoming:

Section ll-P: Using their official position, badge or credentials for personal advantage
or to avoid the consequences of an illegal act.

2. General Order 1.25: Violation of State, Federal, or Local Laws:
Section Uniformed personnel shall obey all federal, state, and local laws.

Section Uniformed personnel charged with a felony shall be immediately
suspended without pay pending the disposition of the felony charges.

lam suspending you without pay for 240 duty hours for Conduct Unbecoming and Violation of
State, Federal, or Local Laws. Your 240?hour suspension will be served starting on Thursday
August 15, 2019.

Pending the outcome of the criminal charges, you may be subject to additional disciplinary

action.
I am also mandating you into the Employee Assistance Program.
