A Contract for a planning and feasibility study was awarded to Engineering for $354,2?3. The Consultant
will evaluate the operational and physioal feasibility of providing one?seat rail transportation aooess between the
Midtown Manhattan Central Business District and JFK International Airport. The work also inoludes preparation of
a white paper on potential rail uses [subway or of the former Boohaway Beach Branoh between Northern
Queens and the Rookaway Peninsula. Improved airport aooess is oritioal to the global eoonornio growth of New
York City. and the use of the publio transportation system to faoilitate that aooess is a olitioal element in providing
