Dear Joe:
As you know on August 15, 2019, a horrific incident occurred on the 3700 block of N. 15th
Street, which sent shock waves through our entire city. Neighbors were terrorized for hours and
several Philadelphia police officers were shot and wounded. I am incredibly thankful that no one
was killed. This incident has left an entire community shaken.
Knowing of your union's past generosity and willingness to help whenever needed, I am again
asking for your assistance in helping to heal a community and assist in making repairs to several
houses that were damaged due to gun fire during this incident.
I always appreciate how both you and DC21 have always stepped up and offered assistance in
many ways. I am asking for assistance again in this matter. The community will truly appreciate
any support that IUPAT DC 21 can provide.
