Travers Dear Mr. Jones: As you know, my of?ce represents Joseph A. Travers and Saved in America As a point of clari?cation to your previous email, Mr. Travers and SIA are available to meet, however, it was believed that NBC was declining a meeting because NBC was insisting on all meetings being ?on the record? or ?on camera?. In order to accommodate the schedules of volunteers and gather the requested documents and information, Mr. Travers is able and willing to meet for an interview any time after November 11, 2019. Due to the volunteers having full-time work schedules outside of SIA, there is simply insuf?cient staffing to accommodate your requests sooner than this time. As to the Safe Shelter Group Home project, this development is news to Mr. Travers and SIA as of yesterday. Mr. Travers and SIA are unable to comment on the matter, but have reached out to Thomas E. Montgomery, Esq, County Counsel, to inquire about the due diligence that led to this development. A copy of the correspondence sent to Mr. Montgomery is enclosed with this letter. Aside from the Reynolds report, which is the subject of the defamation lawsuit, there should be no other cause for this development. If you have any issues or concerns, please feel free to call my office or send me an email at Steve@GiammicheleLaw.com. Sincerely, Steven Giammichele, Esq. Enclosure Steven Giammichele, Esq. San Diego County Counsel 1600 Paci?c Hwy, Room 355 San Diego, California 92101 RE: Saved in America Temporary Shelter for Victims of Human Traf?cking Dear Mr. Montgomery: My office represents Joseph A. Travers and Saved in America This letter is in response to the correspondence dated October 16, 2019, from Helen N. Robbins-Meyer, a copy of which is enclosed with this letter. It is entirely unclear why the county has suddenly opted to change the approval of the temporary shelter through SIA. However, it is our understanding that the County has been provided a copy of the report prepared by Chris Reynolds, which is the subject of a defamation lawsuit initiated by Mr. Travers? against Mr. Reynolds, and that this report is the basis for this development. According to the letter from Ms. Robbins?Meyer, it appears that some ?additional due diligence? was performed, however, it is unclear what this due diligence yielded other than a quick review of the unfounded claims contained in the Reynold?s report about Mr. Travers. If there is any other basis for the county?s actions, please provide such basis so that my client can proceed accordingly. Please give me a call at the of?ce to discuss the matter further, or send me an email at Steve@GiammicheleLaw.com. Sincerely, Steven Giammichele, Esq. Enclosure
