Thank you for your letter regarding the 2020 Census and the role Google and YouTube can play
to ensure the census is full. fair. and accurate. We appreciated the opportunity to brief your
staff on our census efforts. This past March we established our 2020 US. Census Taskforce, a
team to support the operations and security of the 2020 Census across Googie and YouTube.
The Taskforce will work to prevent bad actors from abusing our services to spread
misinformation or to conduct fraudulent activity around the census such as phishing or other
scams.

We will be making a public announcement shortly describing our work in this area and linking
to some policy updates we're making to explicitly cover the census process.

It's important that we are all prepared for the census, and we want you to be assured that we
are working hard on our end. We will continue to update you regarding our work on this
important issue.
