In response to your Q3: please note that ALL DACA recipients are checked against
DHS-TEC when their requests are received; and again before USCIS grants the
request. (What is DHS-TEC? It is an automated enforcement & inspection look-out
system that combines info from multiple agencies , databases, and system interfaces.
DHS-TEC compiles data related to national security risks, public safety issues , current
and past investigations, and other law enforcement concerns.)

as soon as you can:
1. As of January 2018, what is the average age of an accepted DACA applicant?
2. What percentage of accepted DACA applicants are male vs. female?
3. Out of the 906,693 initial DACA applications that were accepted between 2012 and 2017 (I got
that number here ), how many had a NCIC criminal history check conducted prior to acceptance?

I handle judiciary and immigration issues for Congressman King. As the debate over the status of
the DACA program heat s up, the congressman would like some statistical information regarding
DACA applicants. Specifically , non-identifying information that answers the questions or
addresses the topics listed below . I really appreciate your help on this and let me know if you

Here are the questions/topics we would like to see information on regarding DACA applicants:
1) What years the accepted applicants initially entered the United States?
2)
Information showin g the different countries that accepted applicants were born in and the
number of accepted applicants from each country.
3)
How many of the accepted applicants left the United States during their "period of
continuous residence"? How many returned to their country of birth during such travel?
4)
The number of male vs. female accepted applicants.
5)
Information showing the age of accepted applicant at the time of initial entry to the United

I handle judiciary and immigration issues for Congressman King . As the debate over the status of
the DACA program heats up, the congressman would like some statistica l information regarding
DACA applicants. Specifically , non-ident ifying information that answers the questions or
addresses the topics listed below. I really appreciate your help on this and let me know if you
need anything from me or if you have any questions . Again , thank you .
Here are the questions/topics we would like to see information on regarding DACA applicants:
1)
What years the accepted appl icants initially entered the United States?
2)
Information showing the different countries that accepted applicants were born in and the
number of accepted app licants from each country .
3)
How many of the accepted applicants left the United States during their "period of
continuous residence"? How many returned to their country of birth during such travel?
4)
The number of male vs . female accepted applicants .
5)
Information showing the age of accepted applicant at the time of initial entry to the United
States .

Information showing what types of documents were used to prove accepted applicant
identity and how often.

Information showing the different types of education levels of accepted applicants (high
school diploma vs. GED vs. college degree , etc.).

9)
What percentage/number of all applicants (both accepted and rejected) answered "Yes" to
question 1 in Part 4 ("Criminal, National Security, and Public Safety Information") of the DACA
application (Form 1-821D).

This question asks "[h]ave you ever been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of a
felony or misdemeanor[ ... ]?"
10) Out of those who answered "Yes" to question 1 in Part 4, how many of those applicants
were accepted? How many were rejected?
11) How many accepted applicants had a domestic criminal history check conducted before
their application was approved? If a service other than NCIC was used to conduct these criminal
history checks, please indicate what service was used.
12) How many of the accepted applicants had a criminal history check conducted in their
country of birth?
13) Information showing the average time needed to approve an initial application.
