Jacoby, Kenny  YSU statement  Ron Cole  To: "Jacoby, Kenny"  Cc: Holly A Jacobs  Fri, Nov 8, 2019 at 4:33 PM Hey Kenny,    FYI: Here's a statement we put together today in reference to the case that you're reporting on.        As has been reported today in the media, Youngstown State University in September 2016 received reports of two sexual assaults on campus. The accusations were appropriately reviewed as per the university’s investigative and student conduct processes, resulting in the expulsion of one student and the suspension of two others.   Students who are suspended from the university after being found in violation of the Code of Student Conduct are eligible for readmission. The university is reviewing the need to develop additional processes to ensure that the campus activities of students readmitted to the university are appropriate given the nature of their Code violation.   Every student disciplinary case is different, and rarely does a case fit into a onesizefitsall solution. Moving forward, we are committed to ensuring a greater awareness and scrutiny of these particular kinds of situations.           Ron Cole  Public Information Officer  Youngstown State University  3309413285, office  3305060014, cell  racole01@ysu.edu  www.ysunews.com
