The OAG has reviewed its files and has located the a^ached documents that are responsive to your request. Although the Public Informa7on Act allows a governmental body to charge for copying documents, the a^ached documents are being provided to you at no charge. Please note the OAG has redacted personal e-mail addresses from the a^ached documents pursuant to sec7on 552.137 of the Government Code and the previous determina7on issued by the Open Records Division. See Open Records Decision No. 684 (2009) (governmental bodies may withhold certain informa7on without necessity of reques7ng decision from Open Records Division). The OAG has also redacted access device numbers that are confiden7al under sec7on 552.136 of the Government Code. Because our office is prohibited by law from releasing this informa7on to you, we have removed it from the a^ached documents. Normally, we must request a ruling from the Open Records Division before we can withhold informa7on. However, sec7on 552.136 allows us to withhold this specific informa7on without reques7ng a ruling from the Open Records Division. You have the right to appeal our decision to withhold this informa7on from you. Instruc7ons for appeal are a^ached. If you do not want to appeal, you do not need to do anything else. Please note that we are only withholding a specific category of informa7on that is confiden7al under sec7on 552.136. If you have any ques7ons, please contact me at publicrecords@oag.texas.gov.
