Thanks – Fa ma Mehr Has the district signed a contract for kitchen filters yet? Or made a decision about whether to use point-of-entry or point-of-use? (Just want to ensure we have an accurate lead) No contract has been signed. The District may use mul ple methods to install filtra on systems as not all kitchens are the same in size, equipment and infrastructure. How many schools have received lead-removal water filters for drinking fountains? 84 schools have had lead filters installed, totaling 841 installed water filter systems. One addi onal system installed at Mahalia Jackson Are the water filters hooked up and being u lized in all cases? If not, why not and where are filters not completely installed? Out of the 84 schools with water filter systems installed, 5 schools have a por on of water filters not connected to water fountains. One of these schools is currently unoccupied. These remaining 5 schools required more labor intensive repairs before the filters that were installed could be connected to the water fountain. These repairs required the water to be turned off to the building for at least 24 hours. These repairs could not be accomplished while school was in session. These remaining repairs were made over the Thanksgiving holiday to ensure no disrup on to students. We expect these filters to be connected to the water fountains by the end of this week. UPDATE: Of the 5 schools that needed the installed water filter systems connected to water fountains; 2 have been completed, 1 will be complete by COB 12/20 and the other 2 have had scheduling conflicts. We are working with our vendor and schools to reschedule. Below is a breakdown of each. Which schools s ll need drinking fountain filters? All schools have water filter systems installed.
