Since the other teller. was busy with ATM activit-moved to the center teller station as the sus ect arrived. He walked up to the window as_greeted him but he did not return the greeting. He handed he note written on white lined paper approximately 8-1/2" On the note it instructed her to give him 55, 10?s and 20?s and inferred that there was a gun. The gun was never presented. The only spoken word that she heard was when the suspect said. "Now" after presenting the note. He would not let her take the note. Since-only had access to her cash drawer at the drive thru she turned and walked there to access the cash. She obtained $3550 in cash and opted not to include a tracker pack in case the suspect would be angered and shoot her. She handed him the cash and he walked out with the cash in his hands. The defendant ran west across 37th St and jumped a fence around the John Marble Center. A witness observed him undo his ponytail, change shirts and enter the driver's seat of an occupied white van parked in the back lot. The van immediately left the area. The tag was not obtained by the witness. Video was secured from the bank. A still from the video was entered into a facial recognition program which revealed the defendant's identity. On September 22nd, 2017 I met with management from this company. They veri?ed that the defendant had been employed with them during this three year period and were acquainted with him personally. They viewed the video from the bank and provided a 100% positive identi?cation of the defendant. DNA evidence was collected and will be forthcoming. This same defendant is a suspect in two other recent violent robberies. He was convicted of an armed robbery in 1992 and sentenced to the Department of Corrections for 8 years. He committed this bank robbery during a State of Emergency enacted by Governor Scott just prior to Hurricane Irma.
