Period 8 2019 Assessment Period Report For Go Ahead Ireland & The Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area Contract 28th August 2019 DMS Status Data for the periodic assessment of Punctuality and Lost Kilometres were obtained from the DMS on the 30th August 2019. At the time of the assessment, the application of justification codes was on going and as such, the results presented herein is to be considered as preliminary figures. Previous delays uploading Cause Codes to the DMS system have been largely resolved, all data is still preliminary. There were additional issues resulting in missing data and these issues are largely resolved. The NTA is granting Go Ahead Ireland (GAI) an exemption to the Data Management System (DMS) coding for any trip that is 95% - 99% complete from now until the end of Period 10 on 6th October 2019. Any trip, where completeness is in this range, can be bulk coded as complete using code OP08 ‘Other’. It is noted that all operational days from the start of Period 8, July 15th 2019, are to be coded in DMS going forward. This gives GAI a backlog of 14 days to investigate. It is noted that GAI need to wait the 20 days for the TVQR to generate before they can be entered at the moment. It is recommended that GAI do the self-reporting analysis in parallel to DMS for a period of 1 month at a minimum. It should be noted that data for the 28th & 29th of May (Period 6) have been excluded due to technical issues. Punctuality Overview Low-Frequency Services Go Ahead Ireland recorded a preliminary punctuality rate of 63% in P8 2019, a small increase on the rate of 62.2% in P7 2019. Figure 3 outlines the adjusted punctuality trends recorded since the beginning of the year. All periods are to be considered preliminary. The purpose of this weighting exercise was to highlight further, the routes with the highest number of scheduled leave times that were “unpunctual”. The weighted punctuality is calculated using the following formula: ‘Planned Leave Times’ X (100% – ‘Punctuality (%) on Actual Data’) = ‘Number of Unpunctual Leave Times’ Presented in the table below are the top 5 most unpunctual weighted punctuality routes for Period 5, 6, 7 and 8 2019. Punctuality deductions commenced in Period 5. All results are to be considered preliminary.
