Testing Areas for Ticks The team of scientists from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station collected blacklegged ticks at each of these sites at least six times from April through November 2019. They chose five sites in each of Connecticut’s eight counties. The total land area where they dragged testing cloths amounted to more than 50 acres.
