One file represented a withdrawn student. The student was included in the file review to underscore the importance of keeping active files up to date however, the denominator for each compliance area will be 24. Ms. Ellison, as the data manager, owns STS. At MLK, the files themselves are in good shape. With regard to STS, only 4/19 applicable students had the correct information entered into STS. It appears that STS has not been updated for the majority of students since the end of the first semester last year. This means that current seniors are effectively mid-yearjuniors in the eyes of STS. This needs to be rectified as soon as possible. Both students? lGP?s correctly denoted their T9 status. Both files included Academic Plans. Individual Assessment Reports: 0 19/24 files included all LEAP 2025 EOC score reports. 3/24 files did not include reports. 1/24 students was a transfer student from a private school that did not participate in statewide assessments. The remaining student is new to MLK and the school has not yet been able to obtain student records though the student began with MLK in August. 0 17/24 reflected LEAP 2025 EOC scores. 5 did not. 1 student transferred from a private school and would not have these records. The remaining student is a transfer and MLK has not yet been able to obtain student records. 0 Of the 10 12?h grade files review, 7/10 contained ACT score reports and 3 did not. Course Selections and total credits: 0 grade lGP?s included student credits earned in previous years. 2/20 lGP?s did not include credits earned in previous years. One withdrawn student?s file did not have any information or an IGP. 0 22/24 lGP?s reflected current year credits. 2/24 students did not have in their file. 0 Excluding 9?h grade students as they have not yet been entered into STS, 4/19 students had accurate credits entered into STS. 11 did not. STS transcripts for 4 students were not available in the file. 5 files belong to 9?h grade students that would not have this information. Diploma Endorsement: Many students at MLK pursue a Community Service Diploma Endorsement. 21/24 reviewed indicated that students were pursuing this endorsement and included community service logs/documentation. 3/24 files did not include lGP?s. Gifted and Talented Courses: MLK has two Gifted/Talented students. Due to the random nature of the file review, student files were not reviewed. Credit Recovery: Students that fail to pass a course are either placed back into that course for a second time or given the opportunity to take coursework over the summer through Jefferson Parish schools. If students choose not to pursue this option, they will retake the course at MLK.
