I started to photograph that poster when a CTA employee told me that photos could not be taken within the station. I was sure that I had read (years ago) that photos were allowed for non-commercial purposes. However, I complied with the CTA employee's instructions and proceeded to go down into the subway WITHOUT taking the photo. This evening, I found the CTA policy for photos on transitchicago.com and I was, indeed, within my rights to take that photo. PLEASE inform your "L" station employees of this policy so that other members of the public do not get hassled when they attempt to legitimately attempt to take photos on CTA property. Thank you.
