Dear Admissions Committee,
It is my pleasure to recommend John for admission to your Clinical Psychology Master’s Degree program. I have had the pleasure to
get to know John as he was one of my patients at the Del Mar Neuro Center over the past several years. I have witnessed John's
exceptional work ethic as well as his tenacity to get better. John is not only an intelligent and hard-working person, but he has
dedicated himself to enriching the lives of fellow veterans and their family around him. John is truly special for his compassion and
commitment to helping others.
John has committed himself specifically to help raise awareness about mental health issues for veterans, as well as parents, and
children. John is in the healing process from the struggles he endures due to his own trauma caused by a tragic accident. Because of
this John has devoted himself to bringing more awareness to mental health through his studies, research, television, and film and book
projects.
John has spoken to me about his passion to pursue his Masters in psychology and would like to work in the field of psychology, social
work, and/or non-profits. John has an impressive list of accomplishments and I'm sure he will contribute significantly to the overall
tone and classroom experience. John's previous teachers describe him as an insightful, sensitive, perceptive, and diligent student. He
has truly proven his resilience and strength through the challenging circumstances in his life. The hardships John has faced has
motivated him to advocate for mental health awareness as a core aspect of priority public policy issues.
John has my enthusiastic recommendation. He is a kind, compassionate, intelligent, and strong person who has a clear sense of
direction and purpose. I am confident that he will bring the same warmth, support, insight, and hard work to his college classes and
social community.
