To the Parents of Students at the Dakwood Baptist Day School:

The members of the church were made aware that a pastor of Oakwood Baptist church
experienced an issue involving a child which was resolved around 1999 prior to his coming

to the church. Unfortunately," does not permit him to obtain the necessary child clearances
required of church staff and the Day School employees. Since he joined Oakwood Baptist
church, this leader has not had any other legal issues which would impact his ability to obtain
child clearances He was employed by Dakwood Baptist Church but at times did have
responsibilities at the Oakwoad Baptist Day School, He resigned from his position in May 2018
as well as stopped attending church. According to Detective Robert Higgins there are no
pending charges against this man.

We are contacting you in the abundance of caution in order to determine whether there were
any concerns you had or your child/children experienced while enrolled in the Oakwood Baptist
Day School. The safety of the students enrolled at Oakwood Baptist Day School is the most
important aspect of this inquiry, If, during the time your child or children were enrolled at the
Oakwood Baptist Day School, you had any concerns, please contact Detective Ruben Higgins
