Sent: Thursday, January 23, 2020 10:57 AM To: Ursino, Brian Subject: Confirmation on AAMA states that participate in sharing of driver's license photos Mr. Bursino, I'm conducting research to determine which states share driver's license photos for facial recognition purposes with one another via AAMVA cross-jurisdictional agreements. Public records requests we've received from Nebraska and other states in 2018 list "14 states and the District of Columbia" that share images via the "National Digital Image Exchange Program." I am wondering if this is the same as the Digital Image Access and Exchange program, as described here: https://www.aamva.org/Digital-Image-Access-andExchange/ If so, is it correct that the participant states listed at that URL is now (as of January 2020) the correct list of participant states which share driver's license photo images with one another? This list is: Alaska Nevada Washington Idaho Arizona New Mexico Colorado North Dakota South Dakota Nebraska Kansas Iowa Missouri Arkansas Mississippi Illinois Indiana Kentucky Ohio Pennsylvania Maryland Virginia Massachusetts Hawaii In addition, I'm wondering if the S2S program (described here: https://www.aamva.org /state-to-state/) includes image sharing. Please feel free to call me any time at 423-716-8350, or to email. Thank you for your time and assistance—it is very much appreciated.
