DAVID Y. IGE GOVERNOR DR. CHRISTINA M. KISHIMOTO SUPERINTENDENT STATE OF DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION HIGH 8: ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PO. BOX 630630 CITY, 96763 February 18, 2020 Aloha faculty, staff, parents and guardians, Lanai High Elementary will release students at 11 am. tomorrow. Supervised care will be available from 1 a.m.-l :15 pm. for families who need it. Due to campus plumbing issues, which were repaired over the weekend, the school has not been able to use any supplies in its cafeteria. Arrangements are being made to secure a vendor for industrial sanitization services to obtain the required clearance from the Department of Health to resume regular services. Through the generosity of community partners, the school was able to serve breakfast and lunch while repairs were being done. However, until the next supply barge arrives and is unloaded tomorrow afternoon, the school and community partners only have enough supplies to provide breakfast and a limited lunch service for students. Parents are encouraged to feed their children at home and provide a home lunch, if possible. As we do not know how long it will take to secure a commercial firm to perform the sanitization work, we have made arrangements with community vendors for breakfast and lunch service on Thursday, Feb. 20 and Friday, Feb. 21. We will continue to keep you updated on the situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our administration at (808) 565-7900. Sincerely, ?ex/M?
