/Cascade lemg Group The Dij?erence Between Living and Living Well March 2, 2020 Dear Residents and Families of Cascade Living Group Communities: The coronavirus has us all concerned, and many organizations are taking steps to prepare for potential outbreaks. We at Cascade Living Group are no exception, particularly since we care for a population of vulnerable adults who rely on us for care and services. Our highest priority is always the health and safety ofour residents and those that care for our residents. We want you all to know that the coronavirus situation is a high priority item for our company, not because we have an immediate threat ofan outbreak in any ofour communities, but because we want to be prepared as much as possible for all contingencies. However, the virus has been identified in our home state of Washington, and other states where we operate. We have taken or are taking the following measures to ward against infection or transmission: Ongoing and enhanced monitoring ofresidents and staff for signs ofinfection. Monitoring and following guidance and information from the CDC. Enhanced deep cleaning/sterilization protocols in each community. All staff retraining on in-place infection control protocols. Bolstering our supply ofpersonal protective equipment (gloves, masks, gowns, wipes, sanitizer, etc.) Increasing the number of antiviral foggers in our communities that are already in place, and have been for some time. 0 Asking any visitor or staff that show signs of any communicable disease to stay away from the community. Signs are being posted at all entry points and areas throughout the community. 0 Asking anyone exposed to the coronavirus to stay away from the community until the 14-day incubation period has lapsed without 0 Asking anyone that has traveled from high-risk areas, or anyone in contact with such person, to stay away from the community for the timebeing. The CDC has identified China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Italy and Iran as high-risk areas. 0 Adding food and beverage supplies to our normal stock. This includes a supply of paper products for food service, if necessary. - Cancelling all non-essential business travel for our leadership team. a We are asking that everyone in our communities engage in basic infection control practices, such as frequent and thorough handwashing, and avoiding the expulsion of bodily fluids through unguarded coughing or sneezing. Please know that the owners of Cascade Living Group, and our entire leadership team, are each personally and deeply involved in this process. In closing, let me restate that we are on high alert. As always, we are honored to serve you, and together we will work through whatever challenges come our way. Sincerely, Th mas E.
